To explain what the Merkaba is, one must first explain, in general terms, the flow of energy and the energy fields that surround the human body. The first definition refers to Prana or Chi—this is the life force. This invisible energy exists everywhere in the universe in vast quantities. Prana enters the body through the crown of our heads. The greatest flow of Prana runs through the center of our body, resembling a tube. From there, it flows into the main centers known as Chakras. This word in Sanskrit means "spinning wheel," due to the appearance of these complex energy flows. According to the ancient Egyptians, there are thirteen chakras, each associated with a different energy center.
From the chakras, we have branched out energy lines (meridians) that reach every cell.
